STEFANIE'S STORY

LEARNING TO UNDERSTAND HER CLIENTS

Stefanie Daube was in client management at BNP Paribas while she studied for the Certificate in International Cash Management (CertICM). She has since moved to Concardis and is now a Junior Treasury Manager. She spoke to us about why she decided to take the CertICM and how she got on with the course.

What made you decide to take the Certificate in International Cash Management?

I originally took the course to deepen my knowledge in cash management due to my work as a Cash Management Adviser in a bank. There I assisted corporate companies, especially the treasury departments, with cash management questions and was taking part in RfP processes as well as implementations. I was looking for a course which would give me a good overview of cash management solutions for my clients and understand their world better, thus enabling me to provide a better service.

What did you find most useful about the course?

The Certificate in International Cash Management helped me to understand the corporate side of cash management and gave me a valuable understanding of really key areas like capital management, risk, FX and liquidity. The tuition school, a five day assessment preparation period,  was really helpful to learn the practical elements of the course, and provided a great opportunity to meet and network with my peers. CertICM aroused my interest in the corporate side of cash management so much so that I would certainly considermoving into a corporate treasury role. It's always good to keep your options open.

I would recommend CertICM to anyone who wants to achieve a deep understanding of the corporate and bank side of cash management.
